Using Experience Points
Experience points (EXP) measure your progress toward your next level. Killing monsters and completing quests are the two main sources of EXP, with quests generally offering a solid lump sum on top of whatever you earned hunting along the way.
On Jupiter specifically, EXP has an extra layer of meaning: the server's level cap rises in stages (CAP 70, then 80, and onward), so being among the first to bank enough EXP to hit each new cap is a real, visible milestone, not just a personal one.
Dying has a cost: you lose a portion of your current level's EXP progress when you die, so it's worth playing carefully in dangerous areas rather than pushing your luck — doubly so on a HARD, old-school server where progress is already slower than you're used to. Grouping with a party and hunting monsters suited to your level are the simplest ways to keep your EXP gains steady and your losses rare.
