Equipment Exchange System

The Equipment Exchange System lets you trade one piece of equipment for a different item of the same category, instead of just vendoring or discarding gear you don't need:

Weapons exchange within the same origin — any Chinese weapon for any other Chinese weapon, or any European weapon for any other European weapon.

Armor exchanges within the same type — light armor, heavy armor, or robes/garments for another piece of the same category.

Accessories and shields cannot be exchanged.

Find the NPC and select "Exchange Equipment," register the item you're trading in, choose what you want in return, and confirm — for a gold cost. The new item comes out at a random enhancement level between +0 and +5 the first time (further exchanges keep whatever plus level you've already reached), but its magic options are reset and re-rolled at random. The original item is destroyed the moment the exchange completes, so double-check before you confirm.
